I am running Logic Pro X 10.4.8
- I'm a newbie to the Logic Pro 9 and I want to use VST's, plug-ins and.component files on my Logic Pro. I followed all the instructions on Youtube (Putting those.component files on /Audio/Plug-ins stuff) and Logic Pro 9 is on 32-bit mode.
- Even though Logic Pro X offers a shredload of plugins that can make great guitar tones (or can be used creatively for distorted vocals for example), there's a whole other world of third-party guitar amp simulator plugins to explore. Here's an overview of some of the best free guitar amp plugins.
- 32-bit plug-ins on 64-bit Windows: C: Program Files (x86) Common Files VST2. Any other folder your VST host application is scanning during startup by default is also suitable. But, to keep plug-in installations independent from a specific VST host release, never install plug-ins into the program folder of the VST host application or any other.
I installed a few plugins today, and only one of them show up and work for me.
- Frontier Adaptive Limiter
- QRange Phase EQ
- Voxengo GlissEQ
- Crunck V2 (guitar amp plugin)
- AudioThing Blindfold EQ
The only plugin that shows up and works for me is Blindfold EQ. I verified the vst, vst3, and component files are all in /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components & /VST/ & /VST3/ . I noticed that there is another directory in the user folder /User/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/. So, all files are in each respective folder in both the Macintosh HD directory and the User directory.

Any ideas why they aren't working in Logic?
